the lilac tree

for years we have wondered what kind of tree we have in our yard–  it blooms once a year and has leaves like a lilac bush–  we have thought that it’s flowers had a wonderful perfume but i finally discovered this year that that smell is in fact from the surrounding locusts which have just finished blooming–
