just finished watching another episode and doesn’t it give you a “gosh golly, isn’t it great to live in america” kind of feeling???  of course now that we have felt bad for some poor schmuck we can drive to work tomorrow ignoring the homeless that we see on the way–

it never ceases to amaze me–  i look at the trouble on wall street and it appears that the capitalist greed has brought the market plunging down at record levels–  i look at main street and i see that joey and mary can’t afford their oversized home–  kathleen and i live in a relatively small three bedroom house–  when we moved here in the late 90’s we were approved for a bigger house but knew that we were wiser to look towards the future and keep the payments small–  america seems to be surprised about where it is today–  the politicians keep talking about “joe the plumber” and “edith the teacher” not being able to make their payments on their houses and 8 cylinder suv’s–  the worst part is, is that in all the bullshit america continues to push aside and trample over the millions of americans that don’t even have a home, food or healthcare–  like the wildebeest running through the river–  you would think that after 9/11 and 8/23 that americans would wake the @#$#$ up– seems like basic greed to me–  of course christmas should be here soon–

looking backwards–  i grew up hearing this music but never fully appreciated it because of the christian connections within it–  always loved the song though–

again john mccain did his best to remind me of the caine mutiny last night during the last presidential debate–  at one moment during the debate he was speaking of education and he verbally wandered and appeared to be linking in sarah palin’s son trig who was prenatally diagnosed with down syndrome–

“. . . and i just said to you earlier, town hall meeting after town hall meeting. parents come with kids . . .   children, precious children who have autism, . . sarah palin knows about that better then most . . . .”

john had made an earlier reference also about children with autism–  he does know that trig has down syndrome and not autism . . .  right???  talk about knowing your running mate–

i just watched the first ten minutes of my local news, i wasn’t interested in the weather tonight and i rarely watch the sports–   i then turned to the computer and to a favorite blog of mine crooks and liars and was amazed that i had just watched and totally missed a statement made by john mccain–  i remembered john saying something stupid, but like much that he says, i just ignored him and watched the next story–  however, notated by crooks and liars it appears that john is talking about whipping barack–  i read the post and went back to the tv, rewound to the beginning of the news and watched the story again–  wow, the senile old fart really said it–

“After I whip his you know what in this debate, we’re going to be going out 24/7,”

i guess john thinks that he will be leading barack on a rope or in shackles–
