for christmas . . . ol’ whitey’s looking for a lynching–

and while i’m pissed off and ranting about fundamentalists, there’s another thing which has been pissing the hell out of me– what is this bullshit about oj??? didn’t we get enough of this crap back in the mid-nineties??? do we have to see every step of this new bullshit trial???

the way i look at it is oj poked the hornet’s nest with that idiotic book of his and there isn’t anything better then a court-house lynching which would make ol’ whitey happier for christmas– i mean, just picture it–

a decorated christmas tree, a fire going in the fireplace, a nice cup of egg-nog with a little bit of rum and fox news announcing the re-instatement of lynching in nevada just for the christmas holiday–

regardless of whether or not anyone thinks oj is guilty . . .

hey, you know, the thought just occurred to me– maybe they could crucify him!!! and he’d go along with it, just for the publicity!!!

and what is this crap???

it’s bad enough that we have nuts in this country that think we ought to nuke iran because god is on our side, but to read that there are folks in the sudan that are thinking about flogging a woman because her students named a teddy bear mohammed??? a teddy bear??? mohammed??? flog this!!! why don’t we get all of these islamic fundamentalists together with the christian fundamentalists, lock them in a stadium somewhere, let them beat the hell out of each other if they want, and check on them in a week– i have never heard such bullshit in my life–

but, i do know this– my next pet– cat, dog, whatever . . . it’s going to be named mohammed– and then maybe a jesus, and hell maybe even a gotama buddha just for good measure– frig-it, i’ll even get a confucius in there somewhere–

jesus christ!!! isn’t it beginning to look a lot like christmas!!!

while reading right wing blogs–

the following pictures were found at newsmax.com, a right-wing blog– the lack of intelligence and “christian” morals amazes me– this is the button pushing neanderthal mentality that will eventually ruin america– in comparison a political revolution seems like a much better idea–

yes, liberal folk, it may be hard to believe but there really are americans that think we should go to war with iran– of course we know these arm-chair warriors won’t be going themselves–

and not only do they want to go to war, they want to wage nuclear war– sounds like a lot of americans would actually be happy if we were more like the nazis–
of course the current administration is, but they get upset when it is verbalized–

and my favorite– kinda says it all huh and sums up the right wing position??? folks with this mentality need to vacation in woodstock for a month or so– this is the old line that tareyton cigarettes used– same mind-set, just as wrong– amazing!!!

i am glad to finally see this group on line– i’ve been singing this song for decades– from the old stomping grounds– this was an excellent group (the young adults) that were hitting the scene at the same time as the talking heads– i was fortunate to be able to see them in the city of providence–

awake!!!

well good god i hope so!!! everyone start praying real hard!!!

we were sleeping late this morning and kathleen had put the dog out and all of a sudden annie (the dog) started barking up a storm– i assumed that she was only complaining about her breakfast being late so i wandered down with half a sense of humor and with still an ounce of affection left in my heart for the smelly creature (she’s a bassett)–

this really is our normal routine before getting ready for work– however, today we have off, and so i assumed annie was just stating the fact that i was later than normal– but when i got to the back door there were a couple of young women standing at the gate and one of them stated that she didn’t want to open the gate because the dog would go out– she then mentioned something about current times and misunderstandings– i really missed what she was saying though because my eyes laid upon the gold edged pages of the bible she was holding and the copy of awake in her hands– i have to admit it was a terrifying moment but i somehow managed to get the dog in the house, say “no thanks” politely, and then shut the door–

as i walked into the kitchen annie reminded me– “man, it’s time for breakfast” ruff-ruff– i whole-heartedly agreed with her and added “dog, those jehovah folk sure are scary!!!”

a beautiful day to be out and about– the leaves are still on many of the trees although they are now mostly brown– the weather was in the mid-thirties and the bears were nowhere to be seen as we wound in through bearsville– the signs are quite frequent warning of them but we didn’t see any–

it’s a funny thing about woodstock– “we” connect it with the festival which took place in 1969 in the town of bethel, yet the town of woodstock is so much more then a false connection– there is a progressive attitude throughout the area with art studios, performing art centers and yes, shops which commercialize on the erroneous connection to the festival– of course it is all these flavors that went into the creation of the festival so maybe it is understandable–

the town of woodstock can be accessed from the nys thruway but the more enjoyable ride for us is through the catskill mountains– the winding roads through the mountains and the waterfalls along the way add an extra flavor to the town which is missed when coming in from the thruway–

when we first entered town today, we were asked to sign a petition as registered democrats to help place dennis kucinich’s name on the primary ballot– of course we were more then happy to– a good way to start our visit–
