the psychotic patriot notified me of the following news– he has a good (genuine) take and link to follow the story further– it is one of those “i don’t friggin believe it (reality check/ bush is still the dictator), yes i do” tales– why don’t the networks pick this stuff up??? why doesn’t the country wake up– do they really support the troops??? or do they only think about them when they see the yellow ribbons???

i followed the link– and suggest others do the same– if you don’t get the tragedy at first, then stare at the stories for a couple of hours– maybe then you will– if it bothers you, then spread the word– open your eyes– we need a god-damn shrubber–

from the library of congress online files—

“On April 7, Lance Cpl. Andrew Julian Aviles, 18, of the 4th Assault Amphibian Battalion, 4th Marine Division, was killed when an enemy artillery round struck his amphibious assault vehicle. A young man with an infectious sense of humor and a promising future in store, Aviles was the student government president of Robinson High School, played on the football and wrestling teams and graduated third in his class. A member of JROTC, Aviles passed up a full academic scholarship to Florida State University to enlist because he felt an obligation to serve his country.”

i just clicked in and checked a couple of sites– an article from cnn on michael moore’s site caught my attention and before i knew it i was laughing my ass off– the article– Bush: No need to worry about port security

what i found most amusing were a couple of statements by george– “People don’t need to worry about security.” and “This deal wouldn’t go forward if we were concerned about the security for the United States of America,”

george, george, george . . . you foolish man– you have been talking about security, the war on terror, 9/11, weapons of mass destruction etc etc etc and you are now telling us not to worry about security??? george, i think you made a few slips of the tongue there, . . . unless of course you really aren’t concerned about the security for the united states of america– you decide george, should we be concerned or not– are you drinking again?

a very similar article as the msnbc article can be found on our dear friends site fox news they highlight some more reasons why we might want to think about george’s great idea that he thought of after his administration told him about it— with no due respect, you have to admit the administration is really pulling a boner when fox news has an article like this– a very interesting paragraph from the article–

“— The father of Pakistan’s nuclear program, Abdul Qadeer Khan, has acknowledged heading a clandestine group that, with the help of a Dubai company, supplied Pakistani nuclear technology to Iran, Libya and North Korea. The head of U.N.’s nuclear watchdog agency, Mohamed ElBaradei, has said the UAE was among more than 20 countries with a role in the nuclear black market.”

the dark side of the moon???

quoting from an article on msnbc—

“WASHINGTON – President Bush was unaware of the pending sale of shipping operations at six major U.S. seaports to a state-owned business in the United Arab Emirates until the deal already had been approved by his administration, the White House said Wednesday.”

however, he is sticking to his guns and has stated that he will veto any congressional effort to stop this deal– is this unusual? as we all know by now, no– bush never knows what is going on but he will sure be damned if anyone will tell him what to do– maybe he should check with deadeye dick every morning to make sure what he is doing–

with my first cup of coffee i scanned the morning news— as default, i use google and i must admit there is a little something for everyone—

UPDATE 2 Reshaped US high court takes abortion case

3 years not enough for British Holocaust denier: prosecutors

Sony May Delay PS3

Lee defends Bond newcomer Craig

yes indeedy something for everyone—of course, on my first cup of coffee there are few things that catch my eye unless of course it’s something good like dubya’s resignation or something bad like dubya opening his mouth—

but wait a minute– i said looky there– shit, god, i hear leon singing with the harrison and friends choir in the background—

Supreme Court OKs hallucinogenic tea

now that opened the old eyes a bit– oh wow man, check it out, gramma and grandpa get to trip out— and dead heads round the country find a new religion–

although sammy evidently wasn’t involved in this decision, it still reeks of roberts and the ridiculousness of it puts a chill up my spine—

if they are going to allow a “church” to use hallucinogenic drugs (and the last time i checked hallucinogenic drugs were against the law) what will they be allowing a “church” to do next week—

i think most americans never notice what is happening right in front of their eyes and to be crude i believe their cheeks are greased and prepped and they don’t suspect a thing until the beginning of penetration—

hey, how about those ports, huh– Critics flay deal to hand 6 US ports to UAE firm
wow, george is gonna hand our country right to the enemy– maybe it is time to reopen 9/11 and examine the administrations role one more time—

oh well, time to get dressed and get another cup of coffee

rumsfeld/dementia . . . same/same

February 18, 2006 jbh Leave a comment

i was just reading an article which had statements made today by donald rumsfeld– i linked into the article from michaelmoore.com– the article, entitled “US lags behind al Qaeda in propaganda war: Rumsfeld” is written by daniel trotta–

although this appears to be the normal bs from rumsfeld (and it is) it amazes me that he is actually saying the things that he is– al qaeda is besting the good ol’ usa??? come on donald, say it ain’t so– they must have quite a military outfit with more money then the usa could possibly hope to spend huh??? u-huh . . . well, according to an article at military.com (oooh . . .sounds like my kind of place) the usa “is spending more than $5.8 billion a month on the war in Iraq, according to the military’s top generals.”

back to the article in which rumsfeld shows the usa to be wimps–

“‘The Pentagon chief said today’s weapons of war included e-mail, Blackberries, instant messaging, digital cameras and Web logs, or blogs.”

wait a second . . . some of our troops had blogs– you just didn’t like what they were saying–

“‘Our enemies have skillfully adapted to fighting wars in today’s media age, but … our country has not adapted,’ Rumsfeld said.’”

wow, blackberries and digital cameras– and to think our troops are whining about body armor– just think how many digital cameras and blackberries we could buy for our troops if we didn’t have to buy them body armor– selfish whiners!!! and then they could even send pictures home–

mom, this is a picture of me and billy riding along in our unarmored vehicle, no , this is a picture of what remains of the vehicle– where’s billy???

the article then states– “‘For the most part, the U.S. government still functions as a ‘five and dime’ store in an eBay world,’ Rumsfeld said, referring to old-fashioned U.S. retail stores and the online auction house respectively.”

no shit rummy, glad you finally noticed– probably would have been wiser to notice this three years ago–

and . . . “The Pentagon’s propaganda machine still operates mostly eight hours a day, five days a week while the challenges it faces occur 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Rumsfeld called that a ‘dangerous deficiency.’”

who’s he kidding, i thought fox news was 24/7–

and a statement that i really enjoyed . . .

“He lamented that vast media attention about U.S. abuses at Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq outweighed that given to the discovery of ‘Saddam Hussein’s mass graves.’”

yeah, i’m sure donald would have liked less attention focused on abu ghraib– his little shop of horrors was getting such results too–

of course he rambled on . . .

“Rumsfeld also cited the methodical U.S. response to a Newsweek magazine report that interrogators at the U.S. military prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, had placed the Koran, Islam’s holy book, on toilets and flushed one down.”

yes, big brother is learning how to shut those dissenters down– next we’ll probably hear that articles like that will justify the death penalty–

donald rumsfeld– neocon fascist or just an asshole???

hell, i’ll be generous and call him both–

secret service???

okay, dick was out hunting– obviously in an area where quail could hide– yet his hunting partner was able to catch him off guard by being somewhere that dick didn’t think he was– of course it got him shot, but how was whittington able to get into this position in the first place??? where the hell was the secret service??? are the secret service normally called off when the vice president is with other folks that are also carrying guns??? sounds crazy to me, but . . . maybe we should hope that the vp gets out more often like this– maybe next time (if they really are boozing it up) he will get the chance to take a nice long nap–

Cheney takes responsibility for shooting
In Fox News interview, VP calls incident ‘one of the worst days of my life’

Associated Press

Updated: 6:52 p.m. ET Feb. 15, 2006

WASHINGTON – Vice President Dick Cheney on Wednesday accepted full blame for shooting a fellow hunter and defended his decision to not publicly disclose the accident until the following day. He called it “one of the worst days of my life.”

“I’m the guy who pulled the trigger that fired the round that hit Harry,” Cheney told Fox News Channel in his first public comments since the shooting Saturday in south Texas.

Fox’s Brit Hume, who conducted the interview, said Cheney told him he had “a beer” with lunch hours before the accident. Hume said Cheney told him “no one was drinking” while hunting.

Bush Admits He Was ‘Wrong’ But his speech doesn’t account for the administration’s heavy hand in spinning faulty intelligence

December 14th, 2005 2:00 PM

In a speech today in Washington, D.C., President Bush accepted responsibility for faulty intelligence that led the nation to war in Iraq.

“It is true that much of the intelligence turned out to be wrong. As president I am responsible for the decision to go into Iraq. And I’m also responsible for fixing what went wrong by reforming our intelligence capabilities. And we’re doing just that.”

Bush pleads guilty for Katrina mistakes

Saturday, September 17, 2005

NEW ORLEANS: President George W Bush accepted blame for the US government’s flawed response to Hurricane Katrina in a nationally televised speech here, and promised one of the biggest rebuilding efforts the world has ever seen in the disaster zone.

In his late Thursday speech Bush promised a drastic safety review for every US city, on a day the death toll for the destructive August 29 storm reached 792.

“The system, at every level of government, was not well coordinated, and was overwhelmed in the first few days,” Bush said in a live speech from Jackson Square in New Orleans’ historic French Quarter. “Four years after the frightening experience of September 11, Americans have every right to expect a more effective response in a time of emergency. “When the federal government fails to meet such an obligation, I as president am responsible for the problem, and for the solution.”

President Bush Meets with Al Arabiya Television on Wednesday

May 2004
Interview of the President by Al Arabiya Television
The Map Room

10:33 A.M. EDT

Q Mr. President, thank you for giving us this chance here in Al Arabiya. Regarding the alleged abuse of Iraqi prisoners, six U.S. soldiers are being reprimanded. Do you think that’s enough?

THE PRESIDENT: First, I want to tell the people of the Middle East that the practices that took place in that prison are abhorrent and they don’t represent America. They represent the actions of a few people. Secondly, it’s important for people to understand that in a democracy that there will be a full investigation. In other words, we want to know the truth.

In our country, when there’s an allegation of abuse — more than an allegation in this case, actual abuse, we saw the pictures — there will be a full investigation and justice will be delivered. We have a presumption of innocent until you’re guilty in our system, but the system will be transparent, it will be open and people will see the results. This is a serious matter. It’s a matter that reflects badly on my country. Our citizens in America are appalled by what they saw, just like people in the Middle East are appalled. We share the same deep concerns. And we will find the truth, we will fully investigate. The world will see the investigation and justice will be served.

Bush: I’ve Made No Mistakes Since 9/11

by David Morgan

Published on Wednesday, April 14, 2004 by Reuters

WASHINGTON – American President George Bush grimaced, sighed, rambled and chuckled under his breath on Tuesday, before saying he could not think of a single mistake he had made since the September 11 attacks.

rant . . .

February 9, 2006 jbh Leave a comment

for the past week i have had a feeling of increasing anxiety which is building like a scream from deep within my inner bowels, vibrating through my entire frame, culminating in a ear deafening rush of excrement evacuated in a torrential flow, hopefully . . . into the porcelain bowl–

again . . . the liberals (and those attempting at times to represent the liberal viewpoints of americans)amaze me– it is getting hard to tell who i am pissed off at more– the liberals or the right wing wing-nuts– who but a liberal would attempt to be tolerant of a view which is totally opposite of their own? intellectual and pacifist souls are the liberals– i know them to damn well– they haven’t a clue as to how their “liberalness” permeates their thought processes, making them the sport which they unwittingly continue to be for the neo-cons and the reactionary right wing—

and apologies and re-tractions??? god the liberals are spineless wonders when it comes to being willing do so– recent history shows us–

mayor nagin called new orleans a chocolate city– yup, that statement really scared the hell out of a lot of americans, yet at the same time the “whiteness” of america is shoved down the throat of every other race residing here– mayor, do everything in your power to keep that city chocolate because there are a lot of us out here that are going to be pretty pissed off if it becomes vanilla overnight— you should be doing everything in your power to be bringing those people home—

not that he’s liberal, but . . . dan rather making a mistake in a report about george’s military record??? a simple retraction and the statement– “wait a week and we’ll replace it with something else” would have been sufficient—

newsweek changing their story about prisoner abuse at guantanomo bay??? because of pressure from the white house??? they should have flipped him the bird and said “later george”– again, waiting a week or two would have been sufficient

and now . . . two issues which are about to finish making me violently sick– well actually three if i count the hearings about domestic, excuse me, terrorist surveillance—

first, those pictures in denmark– i personally haven’t seen the pictures . . . but did it really look like mohammed? (shit, should i have capitalized his name??? well, there go two more embassies–) if it really looked like mohammed then one could easily understand their anger– but they better have some pictures of their own to verify their claims– and if they can’t look at pictures of mohammed then how do they know what he looks like? sounds kinda funny to me– they were probably labeled mohammed right? yeah, that must be how they knew it was mohammed and therefore knew they were offensive, yeah probably, but anymore offensive then the picture of saddam with a missile up his butt??? how foolish of me, saddam was only a dictator– sorry, my mistake– i mean christ, excuse me, but the reaction to the pictures is getting a little extreme, isn’t it?

. . . and breaking news at the times online site

“Danes’ ‘no’ to Holocaust cartoons The top editor of the Danish newspaper whose cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad sparked outrage throughout the Islamic world said he would not print Holocaust cartoons offered by an Iranian newspaper. Editor-in-Chief Carsten Juste said his newspaper Jyllands-Posten “in no circumstances will publish Holocaust cartoons from an Iranian newspaper.”A prominent Iranian newspaper has said it would hold a competition for cartoons on the Holocaust to test whether the West extends the principle of freedom of expression to the Nazi genocide as it did to the Muhammad caricatures.”

of course the difference here would be that we wouldn’t look at them—

and if we did, hell, we look at pictures of victims of the holocaust all the time so that we don’t forget about the tragedy— we sure wouldn’t torch embassies over it– I mean, no offense, but you excitable muslims have really got to chill out– does your religion allow you folks to smoke pot???

okay— second– the coretta scott king funeral– doesn’t it figure that the wing-nuts would enjoy exploiting this one as well– that nasty jimmy carter went and said something about the color of people’s skin in alabama, mississippi, and louisiana– horrid– i mean, he came right out and said it in front of the president and all—- he talked about the color of skin . . .

i have always admired jimmy carter, even more-so since he left the presidency for his work with habitat for humanity jimmy carter has more balls then most liberals– at his age, he is probably so sick of george’s bullshit that he really doesn’t care what the right-wingers think– thank you jimmy—

and the reverend dr. joseph lowery . . . that man was entitled to say whatever he damn pleased– he has been with coretta scott king since the 50’s and no commentator should even stop to question his right– the way that he commented on wmd’s was excellent and very mild when one thinks of things that he could have said—

a couple of good links concerning the funeral and reactions to it–

Get ready for the white men of the Republican party to lecture black leaders about not knowing their place

and some of digby’s thoughts at his blog

Stop Making Sense

in summation, . . in short, . . to rap this tirade up . . . as i have said before and will undoubtedly say again, it’s time to play catch but the liberals need to find their balls–
