heckle and jekyll

November 26, 2005 jbh Leave a comment

bush and blair kill me– talk about heckle and jekyll– they really should form a comedy act when their terms are through and go on the road making jokes about how they screwed over the world—

okay, let’s get this straight– supposedly george talked about bombing al-jazeera because in his world this is a non-democratic news organization that is controlled by the arab world and also al-qaeda– isn’t this type of action against a news organization the opposite of democracy? isn’t this an action against freedom of speech?

of course, maybe we should remember that the arab countries and al-jazeera don’t believe in freedom and freedom of speech the way we do here in the good ol’ usa– and once we bomb them of course then we can show them what real freedom of speech is– uh-huh . . .

tony meanwhile is telling his news organizations not to comment on the story of bush talking about bombing al-jazeera– now that’s really freedom of the press!! maybe we should bomb tony too—

"may god bless the christians of china"

November 21, 2005 jbh Leave a comment

a simple statement in itself– simple words from what we have come to see as a simple man– yet perhaps he is not as simple as he seems or perhaps (and i’m not sure which scares me more) even simpler then we believe–

a simple statement in itself– with such a simple statement the president of america has possibly offended all other chinese citizens that hold other beliefs other than the christian citizens of china– with such a simple statement the president has clearly shown the rest of the world another of his preferred groups– christians– and in doing so, he has once again reaffirmed his arrogance and the arrogance and the ignorance of america– personally, i would prefer the president to remain in washington d.c. or at least go to his ranch rather than being a constant embarrassment for americans as he travels abroad– i am aware that the white house recently had staff members going to ethics training classes– perhaps they should also attend some training courses on diplomacy– perhaps the president should stop by “just to see how they’re doing”– he can even bring his favorite book–

it seems to me that the president has clearly shown us over and over again who his “chosen” are– as michael moore was kind enough to show us in his movie fahrenheit 9/11, the president considers the elite to be his base and it is easily understood that he also enjoys the company of big business and the oil companies, having once fantasized that he also was a successful member of this group– we don’t know for sure whether or not the president cares for blacks and also for those who are poor, but we do know that a lot of poor folks and a lot of black folks don’t think that he does– as kayne west stated “george bush doesn’t care about black people”

according to a report that i found at http://www.spacetoday.org/china/chinaglance.html
china’s population by religion in 1980 is represented as follows:
nonreligious 51.9
chinese folk-religion 20.1
atheist 12.0
buddhist 8.5
christian 6.0
muslim 1.4
other 0.1

according to another current report at http://www.emiusa.org/china.html
evangelical christian population: 77,265,000 (5.9%)

six percent– the president said “may god bless the christians of china”– in short, “may god bless six percent of china”–

mr president? george? dubya??? what about the other ninety-four percent of the people of china? would you like god to bless them too??? or maybe they’re kind of like the muslims that god told you to go to war with? perhaps they’re just not the right kind of people? what do you think?

wow, . . . what a week–

wow, what a week– on thursday night i came home to an e-mail from senator clinton– i was impressed– however, i couldn’t remember having written to her– all i could figure was that she was replying to one of the group e-mails that i like to join in on to add the weight– it had to do with flag burning and either i had been in a really sarcastic mood or she misunderstood what i was stating– i replied that i wasn’t for flag burning but that i was in favor of someone’s right to burn the flag– hell, the folks over in iraq burn our flag all the time and we are investing billions in them so it can’t be that bad–

the letter struck me as funny because i had been thinking all night that the democrats had to get off their butts and start admitting that they had been part of a major screw up in our little romp in iraq— i know i may be in the minority but when i heard about howard dean’s famous war cry, i was impressed– hey, you gotta admit the man’s got balls and that’s more then you can say about most democrats lately– if we need anything, it sure is an excitable candidate that figuratively has a big pair of balls– enough of the politeness, it’s time to tell the republicans to shove a few things up their butts– the intelligence, compassion and calm got us nowhere with dukakis, and likewise it got us nowhere with kerry– and shit, look at george– we don’t need all that much intelligence– JUST BALLS!!!

friday morning brought an interesting report that one of scott mcclellan’s briefing transcripts had been altered and was not accurate with what the rest of us were hearing and seeing– 1984? “that’s accurate” this of course put me into a good fuck you george mood for the rest of the day and i could barely believe my ears when i heard that the shrub was stating in reference to people questioning our motives and information leading up to the iraq war “it is deeply irresponsible to rewrite the history of how that war began”– hello???? okay enough of this shit—time to get the bowie record out– “we love you big brother bro-bro-bro-bro-bro-bro-bro—”

and you know, i could have sworn that i read it friday night but today i heard the announcement and then read it in the washington post– john edwards stated “it was a mistake to vote for this war in 2002.” i could have gotten down on my knees and cried– at last, . . at last an island in the storm–

my god what a crazy week it was– perhaps there are still some sane people out there– no more quiet democrats, no more corporate democrats, no more polite democrats–clinton!!! it’s time to start screaming!!! kerry!!! it’s time to start screaming!!! dean!!! we know you know how to scream– do it some more!!! john edwards– it was late, but thank you–

i feel as though i have been neglecting the blog, however i have been so glued to the tv with the scoot of the scooter and waiting in anticipation for rove and cheney to get their due also– of course, i also would like to see george strung up, but what would that leave us with??? looking over the past five years of this nightmare it is long past time that things started to be questioned and stopped–

joe wilson is talking with the wolf– i’ll be back–
