get your blinders on . . . here it comes . . . .

the orwellian regime is once again trying to make a comeback with fear and terror as their main tools . . . personally i think they’ve got a good chance of controlling the majority of american minds as they have done in the past . . . the shrub’s speech http://www.c-span.org/ on the 6th of october is reminiscent of the good old days after 9/11 when we were getting ready to bomb the hell out of baghdad– of course the continuing theme is that terrorism is an ongoing threat and that we are going to continue fighting it– sprinkled throughout are hints and allegations that the terrorists have in fact attempted to hit us several times even if as americans we were unaware of these occurrences

i just shake my head with wonder– of course there are terrorists out there– does anybody really doubt this? but americans are way to eager to distract themselves from the truth and current events which demand attention by listening to a galloping cowboy who has proven beyond a doubt that he has no clue as to what the terrorists are actually doing– hey george, what about osama???

and today we had a scare in penn station in the apple– surprise surprise!!! looks like someone in the government misplaced their mountain dew!!! of course, this looks a lot better then just scaring us with warnings and suspected attacks– look!!! they actually are going to attack– perhaps george thinks this will help with his ratings–

i guess we can forget about the victims of katrina now . . . thanks george

i guess we can forget about karl rove and the plame/wilson leak . . . thanks george

i guess we can forget about abu ghraib and the residents of guantanamo bay . . . thanks george

i guess we can forget about the 1953+ american troops that have died in an illegal war . . . thanks george

the victims of katrina 100205

restitution is only a word . . .
for the victims of hurricane katrina
how do we replace all of the elements of what makes up a home?
i don’t believe the losses can ever be replaced
. . . and so the homeless now must flee or fight for what they had . . . .
i mean . . , can’t you see it–
the loss that you can only see when you are homeless and forlorn
and of course there’s some asshole out there that will always say
“yeah, my ass you had a x-box 360– that sucker hadn’t even been out yet”

and big brother, that wandering minstrel, will be attempting to buy the rest of us off with distraction
just as he’s done before
lord knows we almost beg to be fooled again
just so we can continue on with our own simple little lives . . .

after all, i mean, we gave at the office
the relief agencies have it all under control
i mean, i can’t think about it all the time
it can start to bring you down . . .

just so we can continue with our own little dreams
with our own little tears
surely the stars can give us something to talk about today
as the homeless make their way back to the ninth ward–

as the homeless make their way
do you think they care which movie’s number one
or whether or not ashton kutcher is now ashton moore
does it really make a difference
after you have watched your life washed away leaving only the remains of memory

and the commentators continue to talk about those that may be returning (the aftermath)and i can’t help but wonder,
do they have a home that is still there or are they only returning to empty space?
are they sleeping on the ground and pissing in the wind?

and the dead . . .
will we ever know or will the truth be comparable to so many bodies carried out to sea, removed from the death tolls,
helping those good ol boys to keep
those totals down
after all, it may be a screw up but the desired direction is always going down
and who would be suspect of a poor persons failure to return
if there are no relatives to question, then who will notice the loss when mr green comes around no more
he must have gone to those shelters in texas or maybe he went on up to arkansas
and mr brown? correct, mr brown has gone to town
and george, georgie’s doing a heck of a job, isn’t he?
even if he confuses his words sometimes
after all

to george retribution is only a world

talk . . . talk . . . residents of new orleans poorer sections should just invest in k-y jelly

an article by brian debose on “the washington times site” http://www.washingtontimes.com/national/20050929-114710-8545r.htm entitled “HUD chief foresees a ‘whiter’ Big Easy” makes me wonder if americans are just in fact really stupid. should i just accept this as a given and not be amazed anymore???

it amazes me that anyone would be surprised to see the poorer areas taken over by developers and capitalists– do you really think they are going to re-build a poor neighborhood??? i am sure that most landlords in the area would quickly sell their property if asked and would consider themselves lucky if they broke even– mr. davis is optimistic that “there will be many efforts to make sure there will be affordable housing and construction job training for residents to rebuild and have the option to return home”. but how realistic is this view??? people need to live their lives now and the majority will pick up where they are and carry on, they will obtain new apartments, get new jobs and they won’t be able to return even if they wanted to because they will become parts of new communities– they will be dealing with new issues and yes, life goes on– let’s face it, the poor of new orleans get screwed no matter how you look at it and for anyone to think that their lives are going to return to normal (and that the majority will return to the same areas in new orleans) is plain bullshit–
